The club
Beginner to expert, all disciplines
The AWSC caters to all level of waterskier, from beginner right through to pro. Age is not a limitation. Our youngest skier to date was fourteen months old and our members recently helped set a Guinness World Record for the Oldest Waterskier at 94 years of age!
We have specific club equipment to cater for all levels of skiers which can be used by members free of charge. We use high quality equipment such as tow-ropes from S-Lines, a Ski Nautique 200 towboat from Surf Ski Ride, and safety equipment from Hutchwilco. Our courses and ramp are set up to World Record standards by default. All our drivers are specifically trained to operate on the Orakei Basin safely, and many are rated to drive tournaments up to World Record standards.

Membership Benefits
The AWSC is open 5 days a week, Wednesday through to Sunday. During the summer we open at 7am so you can sneak in a quick ski before work, or pop down during the day for a quiet lunchtime rip around the basin. Or get your kids into one of our highly successful tournament coaching programmes - recently taking skiers from first lesson to Regional and NZ Teams in 18 months!

Choose your membership
Rates are kept in the member portal so they are always current. Family, senior, junior and social memberships are open now, with short-term options for visiting skiers on the way. A one-off joining fee applies, and it is waived for members of other clubs and for rejoining members, on request.

A private waterfront venue, ten minutes from the CBD
Exclusive use of the clubhouse, the deck and the basin. Full kitchen, bar, multiple screens, and room for a marquee on the waterside lawn. Your guests can arrive by boat.
